Frisco Texas Bankruptcy Practice Serving Collin County

At The Page Law Firm, we believe in educating clients about the services we provide. We offer a free, initial consultation for bankruptcy matters during which we explain the basics about the bankruptcy process. We genuinely care that you understand the options available to you. We believe in empowering our clients to make sound decisions based on facts, not hype. You can trust us to steer you in a direction that makes sense for your life and those you care about.

If you are experiencing great financial difficulty or harassment regarding an inability to pay a debt, we can help. Debt relief options such as bankruptcy may reduce, eliminate or structure debt in a way that is easier to handle. We will help you make an informed decision to put you back on track.

Chapter 7 Bankruptcy

Chapter 7 bankruptcy is sometimes referred to as liquidation because all non-exempt assets are sold. This money is then distributed among creditors and any other entities to which you may owe an outstanding debt. But for most people, all of their assets are exempt, which means protected from liquidation. Additionally, in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, certain debts incurred prior to filing are completely discharged, such as credit card debt.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy

Chapter 13 is a way of readjusting debts to allow a debtor to pay them over time. It also enables the protection of property from creditors. In short, as long as a person remains compliant with the terms of the debt repayment agreements, they can successfully complete the plan. As with any type of bankruptcy, there are advantages and disadvantages, but Théda will thoroughly explain your options.
